In response to someones reply about safety, I would definitely make safety a top priorty if not first!!! Profits are not as important as people who could loose their lives.
But I am still not done, what else would I do?
I would model my airlines service after the Asian Airlines, they are known to have the best and most friendly service, sorry KLM F/As, but its true.
I would serve food even on two hour flights for one thing. On short flights though I would do away with the cart in the cabin. Southwest F/As use a tray that hold nine cups at a time. Every passenger would recieve a card asking them what they want to drink, A row and a half at a time the flight attendants would pick up the cards, look at the seat number and take them their drinks, then half way through the flight the F/A would go around and offer refills to those who wanted them.
Its not much but this way passengers dont feel so much like they are being cheated.
Like Alaska Airlines is doing I would implement a system where a computer chip in the passengers frequent lyer card automatically checks passengers in upon arrival at the airport, all there is left to do for passengers that need to check baggage is ask the safety precaution questions and take their bags, if you dont have baggage to check, then just do straight to the gate!
Something I just thought of, what if airlines offered mileage bonuses for passengers who were a sertain number of minutes early before a flight, that would help boarding and checking in wouldnt it.
With hubs that are connecting complexes, it is possible passengers would have to wait pretty long for their connecting flight, I would have a Country Club style Club, that would totally pamper my passengers, from massages, to acupuncter, to facials, and manucures, and hot tubs, and saunas, and swimming pools, office space, tennis courts, showers, locker rooms, hair salon and barber, shoe shine, small little rooms with beds to take a nap, a restaurant, track, climbing wall, cigar bar, oxygen bar, regular bar, oops gotta leave some room for gates, j/k.
This makes so much sense, it would just take a lot of planning and coordination, planes would be in the air more and passengers better taken care of on the ground.
Looks like all the money I would save on fuel from my last post I would spend on better service.
