The demand for Sight Saver wipes will increase dramatically.

Touch screens will make the cockpit more intuitive. Smart move IMO. Does the A350 have touch screens?
You know all is right is the world when the only thing people worry about is if the president had sex with a pornstar.

Nope, the touch screens are exclusive to the 777x. Definitely a smart move, but I do wonder how that will play out in significant turbulence.

I think when people worry about the turbulence aspect, they might be doing so with the experiences of using a tablet. But I think with it being solidly mounted, it shouldn’t be too bad. Either that or an expensive retrofit is in the 777x’s future.

I've found touchscreen seatback IFE bothersome to use when in turbulence, requires extra focus to land your finger on the selected part of the screen. It's not the end of the world if I accidently select the wrong film/episode but I can see it being an issue on the flightdeck.

Touchscreens are optional on the 350, I'm not aware of any airline that has taken delivery with them installed though.

That has been thoroughly evaluated. Obviously it's an issue that was thought about by the people designing the system. There are various places to support your hand, based on research that was done.

While I concur with this statement and agree that IFE can be bothersome to use during turbulence, I'm sure that the system in place up front will be countless times more refined than what passengers get on their screens.

I am curious as to why they chose LCD displays instead of LED or OLED ones though. I've always had the impression that LED displays were more reliable.
