EI Business Class LHR-IAD (DUB Stopover)?

Wed Nov 29, 2017 9:37 am

I am currently an American postgrad Student studying in the UK.

I flew over TK’s business class product here when the term began earlier in the fall. I was very pleased with the seat, service, and lounge at IST. However, given how much of a spiral US-Turkish relations are in, I was hestitant to fly them home for Christmas.

So I booked Aer Lingus instead. I was wondering how EI’s business class product comes to TK or VA? I know it is economy only between LHR-DUB( but then again that leg is a very short flight). I’ve also heard that getting from LHR to the East Coast via Dublin is actually quite efficient due to the customs pre-clearance in DUB?

Also how’s the EI lounge at both LHR and DUB?

A very nice product.

Looks very similar to BA's business class product?]

Then again being owned by IAG EI is basically an arm of BA.

No it's not, it's the same as Swiss etc 2-2-2 1-2-1 not 2-4-2

The seats themselves are comfortable enough, the food is normally pretty good, though Turkish is far better, then again Turkish is far better than most airlines when it comes to food.

Service is normally pretty good, professional yet relaxed. EI are IMHO better than BA on J, but their route network just rarely works for.
