Frequent Flyer Programme Questionnaire for an Undergraduate Dissertation

Sat Mar 03, 2018 2:49 pm

I am a third year undergraduate student studying Air Transport with Commercial Pilot Training at Buckinghamshire New University. I am interested in collecting data regarding frequent flyer programmes and customer loyalty. Please could you take the time to complete a survey in the link below for an undergraduate dissertation. It will take approximately 5-10 minutes of your time, and all responses would be highly valued.

Thank you in advance!

Filled out. For clarification: for the question that asked “Do you think being a member of a frequent flyer programme, leads to loyalty towards ONE airline?”, I selected no, but I meant that for me personally it doesn’t effect my loyalty (one business trip for me usually gets me gold equivalent status on any airline and I already hold top tier on all three alliances so I couldn’t care less who I fly), but I absolutely think it leads to loyalty for other people

I rarely fill out these things but I did this time because it's a favorite topic of mine.

One thing is that I also was a little confused about how to answer the "ONE airline" question - I belong to four airline FF programs, and I typically fly one of those four depending on the route. So I'm not loyal to ONE airline, but I am loyal to the airlines of which I am a FF member.
I'm tired of being a wanna-be league bowler. I wanna be a league bowler!

Done.

And I second the previous comments about being a member of multiple frequent flyer programs and giving preference to those airlines as a group.
"We hope you've enjoyed flying with us as much as we've enjoyed taking you for a ride."

Thank you all for filling out the questionnaire, I now have enough responses for what I need and have now closed the questionnaire.
Also thank you for commenting on my poorly worded question regarding 'loyalty towards one airline'. I will be discussing this error within my dissertation, and how i'd change the wording of the question.
Thank you!
