Flushing Airport

Sun Jan 20, 2002 8:35 am

In northern Queens, New York, there is an old abandoned airport, Flushing Airport.

This airport was shut down in the early 80's, and is now a swampy refuge for local wildlife pushed into it due to construction in its surrounding areas.

It was a small airport, and only had small aircraft and blimps and such landing there.

If anyone has any pictures of this place or its area before or after its closing, I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Please email me at bigphil395@aol.com with a link or the photos attached.

I thank you all in advance.
