Need More Lt1011 Shots

Fri Jul 11, 2003 1:22 am

In the data base there is not a lot of shots of Lt1011 shots. However, there are a lot of ones with Delta when those planes were being retired. There needs to be more of a variety.

In my view the a.net database for the L1011 Tristar is nearly complete. Out of the 250 TriStars produced, only 8 of them are missing from the database which are as follows:

193A-1011 N1011 b/u 1986
193A-1011 N310EA w.o. MIA 1972.
193C-1089 N713DA b/u Marana
193C-1147 N722DA std VCV.
193C-1163 N726DA w.o. DFW 85.
193P-1068 JA8505 A40-TS EI-CBM EL-AKG 5N-ABB b/u 1993.
193P-1119 JA8515 b/u MHV.
193S-1214 HZ-AHR std

If any of these are on the database & I was unable to find them, please post photo's below.

Ned.

I have a some shots that might interest you from Palmdale in late 1978.

N1011
Not great, but it's a photograph and it's got a plane in it! Scrapped in 1986 I think.

G-BFCA
1st -500 just off production line, waiting del to BA - no shots of this reg in database. Less than two years after delivery to BA it was sold to the RAF.

N338/9EA (can't remember which)
Waiting del to EA - no shots of this reg in database. Sold to LTU just after two years later.

I hope to get these scanned and uploaded (provided they're accepted) in the next week or so. I'll let you know.
