Who Is The Photographer?

Fri Oct 10, 2003 1:44 pm

This is going to be a little difficult to describe, but I have two aircraft photos that I use as my desktop background but I don"t know who the photographers are that took them. I am not sure how I could include them in this post to show what they are because I don't have the ID number. When my buddy at work sent it to me as a postcard (one was in Aug. 2002 and the other was in Nov. 2001) I had to trim down the photos to fit on the screen and know I would like to find out more about who took them. One picture is a night shot taken at the MSP observation deck with an NWA DC-9 (N983US) sitting at the closest gate and the second shot is taken from an aircraft looking down at what appears to be an FBO maybe in Switzerland and in this shot there are the following aircraft in it parked side by side Sadfrom the top down).. Private 707 (N??ZL, Falcon 50 (I-???),BBJ, Gulfstream V (HB-IVZ), Falcon 900B (HB-???), Challenger (VP-CCR), Gulfstream V (HB-IIY), and the top of a private 727 at the bottom. There is also what appears to be a Crossair Saab 2000 at the very top of the pic.
I know it is hard to tell what these pics look like without seeing them, however if they sound familiar, I would really like to know who took them.

Thanks

Actually Jaspike,

That pic is very close, but the pic I have is completely at night and the first plane visible (at gate C2) is an NWA DC-9 with the reg. N983US. The picture is so clear that you can even read the reg. of the NWA A320 (N325US) at C3 and the reg of the NWA A319 (N302NB) at C4. There is an NWA 757 (in the dark) next to the A319 and then next to it is an HP A320 or A319. The only sign of movement appears to be tugs and ramp vehicles (obviously time exposure).

The picture you have looks like it was taken in exactly the same spot though!

thanks

I've had a look at all the night photos at MSP, and it doesn't appear to be there. I've also tried N983US at MSP and various others... (there aren't any photos of N983US @ MSP) and so on. Either the photographer has entered incorrect details, or it isn't in the right categories... or it might have been removed from A.net for some reason.

The second photo... I've tried but can't find anything Laugh out loud Any more clues about this one? Big thumbs up

No, not really. Would you happen to know how to include a photo in the forum if it is NOT in A.net? Maybe it was taken out for some reason... although I don't understand why? The pictures are perfectly clear.  Confused

The photographer might not have wanted it to be on A.net anymore for whatever reason... it might be on other sites, e.g. jetphotos.net, but that site is so slow.. I haven't been able to search on it for months even with my broadband connection.

To show a photo on the forum you could link to it like http://www.com or you could play around with html to show it as a thumbnail. Big thumbs up

I see. I get lost very easy when it comes to "html" and all the technical terms in associating pictures and photos to the forum. I know how to place photos that are already on A.net, I am just not familiar with putting pictures that are on my desktop there.
Also... what is the deal with jetphotos.net? Are they associated with A.net or is it just another A.net wannabe? I haven't been reading the forums for a while so I haven't been "in the loop". I have seen it but I just can't see using any other site but A.net. Big grin

They're not associated with A.net, they're a wannabe as you put it.. A.net is definitely the best though, high quality photos, great forums, fast website - the opposite of jetphotos.

I'll keep an eye out for those photos, they must be out there somewhere  Smile
