Livery Vote, I Know It Has Been Discussed

Thu May 13, 2004 9:13 am

Sorry, I know this topic has been discussed in the past but I am new and I just wanted to have a vote. The winner of the best livery will be announced tomorrow. If you bother to vote, please put the airline first and then why.

Airbus3801: wellcome, and don´t hesitate to post any thread!

Air France

Classy, elegant, nice, and still actual after more than a quarter of a century!!

Cheers,

Actually Hempol, Air France's livery has changed over the decades... not much, of course, but it has changed.

For example:

The current design dates from the mid 1980's methinks, nut I'm not positive on that one.

PU151, the caravelle is the only aircraft in the AF fleet at that time that didn´t get the new livery, but the rest of the fleet began to be repainted in the new livery between 1977 and 1979

Oh, s**t, I'm sorry, I actually read HALF a century, not a quarter... Honest mistake, my apologies, blah, blah, blah. Embarrassment. Of course, you are right.

Edit: I guess I should put my glasses on now...

Transtar Airlines. A US based airline long since gone. Southwest bought Muse air and changed the Name to Transtar, based out of Houston Hobby. A beautiful dark blue/purple color, called "empirium blue", with neon pin stripes around the empanage.

Another great livery was Northeastern International's "Cloud Schemes."

Well if special liveries count, this one has to be the best:
