The Cleanest Airline...

Fri May 14, 2004 7:28 am

We all say that this one, or that one is the ditiest airline either from inside or outside.....

Now we have to name the cleanest airline from the inside, and also from the outside.......

How about Lufthansa? Their planes are usually spotless from the outside; can't say much about the inside.

The LH 727s started to get a little filthy towards the end of their life, but overall, I would say LH has an exceptionally clean fleet  Big thumbs up

British Midland. Always clean and shiny. never seen a dirty one from the outside. Inside unknown. I have never been a passenger of BMI.

BMI does look great from the outside but usually you could say that because their new livery doesn't show much filth. Inside is O.K but I would have to say the BA has very clean aircraft. Big grin

I have not seen a dirty LH or CO plane in the longest time I think these two airlines do a good job keeping the fleet clean inside and out I agree with the above

Alaska has clean airplanes usually, except for their 732s, which have an excuse to be dirty.

I would have to say that Lufthansa is VERY VERY clean inside and out and I an not just saying this because I am a HUGE fan of Lufthansa. Also a smaller european airline that is very clean but nobody knows about this airline really is Croatia Airlines. They have very clean planes inside and out.

Lufthansa is up there in the top, and if they are not the cleanest I must say SK, shining both on the inside and the outside !

I've never been anywhere near an MEA aircraft, but since they have world's youngest fleet (according to an earlier thread), does this also mean that their entire fleet is spotless? Just curious... i bet it won't be easy to keep those mostly white planes in top condition all the time.

From what I have heard, MEA washes their planes AT LEAST once a week and sometimes more.

I'll be honest with you, but I haven't seen a dirty MEA plane in a long time. Not on the new fleet.........

And yes, they do have the youngest fleet in the world at the moment.  Smile

Continental planes are usually somewhat clean, and the interiors are always spotless. On the outside though, many CO planes have absolutely filthy wings, and the actual fuselogue can be somewhat scrawny as well...

USAirways planes are always sparkling, inside and out.

I would say KLM, and im not trying to start anything here considering the absorbition of KLM by AF, so at least for now I can say they have clean planes.

Honestly I am not being biased but if Qantas manages to keep planes older than 20 years spotless, then really there is nothing remaining to be said!
