Which Seat You Normally Go For At Economy Class?

Wed Jun 16, 2004 10:49 pm

I always request an aisle seat by the window side, preferably the one at the EMERGENCY EXIT (UNLIMITED SEAT PATCH!!!!!!)

On a 747 I love the very last row window seat. Only 2 abreast and lots of space between seat and bulkhead. On take off its quite exciting as the plane pitches back and the wings flex 6 feet upwards. Bit noisy but great fun.

any window seat, bulkhead if poss

i know what u mean about being in te last row.

Was on a 330, and could see the wings flex. It was strange, the front was up, and we were still bouncing around on the ground
Where does the time go???

I normaly prefear a window seat some place in the back. I also like sitting on the right side. Beeing in the back is best because: It's noisier, you can see the entire cabin and best of all; enjoy the flaps.

You might as why i like to sit on the right, and honestly I don't know. It just feels a little more natural for me.

If on a 717 or other DC-9 variant, I opt for left side window, as there's only 2 seats on that side. If 3+3 seating, either side window.

Window seat... no matter where, preferably in front or after the wing. I like to see down on the ground.

I am usually on Alaska Air 737s or DC9-80s. I always go as far back as possible (usually the last row or two), and always an isle seat. Back in the "old days" I always loved to sit by the window. Then I had to fly air force charters, DC8-63s, (Flying Tigers, TransAmerica) from So. Cal to the Phillipines and Japan. Having to sit still for 18 plus hours, or crawl over sleeping comrades was NOT good. Cured me of window seat love.

See ya,

John

I prefer a window on the left side of the plane behind the wing so that I can watch the flaps and thrust reverser (on 737-200) and also not have the wing block my view of the ground below. Yeah, I'm picky.

I think I have a slight touch of OCD.

Has to be on the right. Get nervous and sweaty palmed if an seated on the left. Have no idea why!

I prefer a window, and towards the back too. Like to watch the wing flap around during turbulence. Having said that, not adverse to being seated in 1A on the UA 777! Thats of course if I can afford a first class seat!

The seat by the centre of the Left Wing, so you can get all those great wing views.

I like sitting pretty far back. Not too far,but far enough to have a good view of the wing and flaps, but while having a good view of the ground
