Last Piston-engine Sched Flight At Your Airport

Wed Aug 04, 2004 6:56 am

I think it's been twenty years since a piston-engine airliner flew scheduled passengers out of SFO/OAK/SJC-- but maybe I'm wrong. How about your airport-- what and when was the last piston in scheduled service?

PHL had piston service up until the early 1990's, with Wings Airways flying Islanders and Tri-Islanders from Wings Field in the suburbs to PHL, a flight of a whopping 16 miles in length or so...
