Best Looking Livery?

Tue Aug 17, 2004 11:43 pm

I'm interested to see what other people's opinions are on the best and worst looking livery for Boeing 777. My favourite is Vietnam Airlines - absolutely stunning, and the worst one is Alitalia (on any aircraft)...

Northwests new lovery looks stunning on their entire fleet. Would agree with you on Alitalia - its just crap. Dated and bland.

Other boring liveries are China Eastern and Air India. Also dated and ineffective.
Debate is what you put on de hook when you want to catch de fish.

Talking about dated: try Martinair

Best livery IMO: Swiss International: simple yet very stylish
Destruction leads to a very rough road but it also breeds creation

my two favorites would have to ATA and BMI, jetblue has a simple yet nice look as well.

being from asia.. i guess i would be a little bias..

but i like CX, SQ and GA.. they r just elegant...
i also really like Gulf Air's new livery, Air Tahiti Nui, NWA and Aeroflot..

QF is a bit dull but its okay..

i also find that JAL new livery is somewhat empty.. n i always think that its missing something..
worst is probably Asiana..

Delta's Widget is best for me. I am certainly sorry to see it go.

British Airway for sure. I don't see too many of them. I was passing Newark Airport this past Saturday and saw a BA 777 landing. In photos is looks great, but in person it is strikingly bright and beautiful.

Delta's wavy scheme is a third for me. Also looks bright and beautiful in person.
Go Delta!

I personally think Alitalia's livery is the nicest around.

Bland in my opinion are BMI, Virgin and British Airways.

Yu may have guessed it from my username, but i think the current Delta scheme is one of the nicest around. Now theres other nice ones too, like America West, Qantas, JAL, ATA, Song, Varig, British, Air New Zealand, Aeroflot, El Al, Egyptair, LAN, Edelweiss Air, Corsair, Livingston, Air China, SAA, Australian Airlines, Continental and TWA.

But my favourite of all is.......AIR TAHITI NUI.

Sorry A319114, but Swiss is just so boring.

BA - particularly on the 744 (and of course on Concorde!!!) - the 744 looks majestic in BA. I loved the World Images tailfins - the fleet looked amazing then, particulalry when you saw lots of identical a/c with different fins at LHR
