Do You Keep Your Plane Tickets?

Wed Sep 01, 2004 8:47 am

Do you keep your plane tickets? I do. It's kind of weird, I was three I flew long haul for the first time(was also my very first flight) and I was so excited about the flight I kept and bunch of junk but the only thing that was of any importance was the ticket so I kept it . From then on I collected rest of my tickets. Even Short and Medium Haul, All 287 of them  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

I also keep all mine. I have put them in a series of frames in a way that looks very artistic -- which people agree with -- but I secretly know it is just cos I am geeky!

with the signatures of the captain and the copilot!

at the left of this one is a framed black/white print of the BOAE
and on the right is my framed photo from the BOAE from the 9. october,
that day i flew with the concorde...

I do. Mostly Eastern Airlines plane tickets. They are not really plane tickets but "passenger's receipt slips".

Now I think about old paper tickets. Old system - 6 copies

Original: Airport station / agent's copy

Copy 1: Auditor's copy

Copy 2: 1st flight ticket

Copy 3: 2nd flight ticket

Copy 4: 3rd flight ticket

Copy 5: 4th flight ticket

Copy 6: Passenger's copy

I do, and have done so since I was very small.

In the past few weeks, I have been putting all of my flights into a database, and old ticket stubs are quite useful.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Seemed like a neat thing to do 20 years ago. Then I found myself flying 2 times a month. I stopped 18 years ago as I would need a warehouse now. Out they have gone in the dust bin.... except my flight on BOAG last October. The one and only time a scheduled passenger airline flight flew supersonic in Canada (BA97).
there is economy class, business class, first class...then Concorde..pure class

Yeah, me too, not been collecting for that long though, only a few years. I keep them all in separate plastic pockets in a ringbinder; especially useful for the LCC's paper tickets.

Since I always fly Non-rev EVERYWHERE I go, I only keep the boarding pass (on account that there's no ticket!) I wish I saved my Korean Air, Asiana, and BEX boarding passes. Sad

I keep all the tickets and the boarding passes, unless the airport uses the reusable ones and I have to give the back.

I also keep the print of th reservation code when I book on the internet. So I have all the tickets since my first flight in 1988!
