Ever Have The Same Pilot 2+ Times.

Sun Sep 12, 2004 2:03 am

Have you ever been on a flight with a pilot you recognized from another flight? Well my dad just flew between MSP-DFW-SJC-ORD-MSP. He said the same woman pilot flew MSP-DFW and ORD-MSP.

Plenty of times on SAS, and the MD-8x F/As were starting to recognize me for a while.

Many multiple times.

In fact, there was even an Air India pilot (now long retired) who has been through multiple "incidents" with me aboard. In 1988, our 747 rammed the jetway at Schiphol after the lights on the guidance system malfunctioned and in 1992 we experienced a #3 engine fire right before V1 at Heathrow. He told my dad in jest that I was banned from ever flying with him again!!!

To my knowledge, I have never had the same pilot twice, but I have something weirder. I had the same UA 747-400 Captain non-rev/commute on my flights a week apart, along with part of the Cabin Crew. It was March of '03 and I went to FRA and London for a week. I flew a UA 762 LAX-JFK and LH 744 JFK-FRA, then back on LH 342 and UA 762. This captain lives in New York but is based out of LAX, so he was commuting. Then again, he sat in F and I got the exit row in Y. I actually got exit row window on both flights. I don't know thins, but there is a chance that it was even the same plane

Yes, I did a very short trip JFK-FCO-MXP-JFK on Pan Am and we had the same crew both ways.

Yes. I flew ORD-LAS on AA and said goodbye to the pilots on the way out and a few days later I said hello to the same pilots back to ORD. Same FA's as well.

Once, returning from PIT to JST on US Airways Express in a Beech 1900. I almost expected to see the same pilots since there are few flights out of JST.

Does Flight Attendant count? I remember I did JFK-JNB, and then a few days later one of the flight attendants was working first class cabin on CPT-JNB.

I've flown severeal times between GLA and LHR on BD a fair amount and I started
recognising a particular captain's voice, I believe his name was Captain Dawson, as
soon as he started the announcement. He's flown me on that route at least 3, maybe 4,
times.

I had it on the same trip...FLL-CLT-PHL on US...the FLL leg was operated by a 757, and the CLT-PHL leg by a 762, and it was the same captain both times...

I used to fly CLT-DFW 4 or 5 times a year. There were several times when they announced the crew, I heard the same name for the pilot....Stormin' Norman...lol

Yes a good friend of the family flew 744's for UA and I was on his flights many many times! I also know a few other pilots and like to ride with them when possible.

Just this summer on BA I had the same pilot ORD - LHR and LHR - ORD...interesting part was that it was a 744 eastward and a 777 westward

Many times -- as a matter of fact, there is a woman who flies dc-9's for NWA -- she is very short, has long hair, and always needs a pillow from the cabin

On board my NCL-ALC-NCL flight in March, I had the same pilot. I think he was American working for MyTravel (poor guy).Had most of the same cabin crew on the outbound flight as the inbound flight.

I did one Chalks on two flights FLL-PID and back one week apart. And in both the FO was the pilot flying.
