Whats The Most Ac Changes You've Had On 1 Route?

Sat Sep 18, 2004 12:33 pm

Whats the most different types of aircraft your airport has had on 1 route?

In CRW, we've had

to Pit: Dash-8's, Dornier 328's , Saab 340's, CRJ, ERJ, DC-9, 737-200, 737-300, Md-80, and f-28 (thats as far back into history as i would dare to go.

and Clt is basically the same, other than that airlines have been consistant with what they fly and to where, but US has been here the longest so others havent had the chance to Shift as much.

With the advent of alliances, international flights can get pretty complicated and may involve a taxing game of musical airplanes.

For example, a flight I took last year had the following itin:
UA ORD-LAX A320
SQ LAX-TPE B777
TG TPE-BKK A330
TG BKK-MNL A300
SQ MNL-SIN B777

Return:
SQ SIN-ICN B777
UA ICN-NRT B747
UA NRT-SFO B747
UA SFO-ORD A320

Changing aircraft can get pretty tiring when switching terminals let alone roaming up and down airports.

But hey, getting there is half the fun right? Big thumbs up
Its better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than be in the air wishing you were on the ground. Fly safe!

CO IAH-EWR
733
735
738
752
753
762
764
772

Basically the entire mainline fleet flies this route, I haven't seen 73G and 739 on this route lately, but I'm sure they show up from time to time.

DL flew these aircraft on their runs from IAH to ATL
CV-880
L-1011
B727
B732
B733
B738?
B752
MD-88
DC-8
DC-9?
Maybe someone can help me with the aircraft I've put question marks next to.

I also found UA ORD-SFO
319
320
744
752
763

DL has had every single DL operated aircraft operate its DFW/DAL-ATL run excluding the FH-227. It would take me all night to list them all.
It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

I only could wish there were more variety on Iberia flights out of Valencia, those A320s are getting a bit boring...

nice guys, . Be glad you have A320's. We have so many CRJ , ERJ, and Saab 340's here in CRW, When we see a dash-300, its like Yes yes yes a dash.

I expected variatey on those hub routes. We deal with the same switches, just with the commuter fleet.

More of a personal story, but, on an NW EWR-DTW flight, the aircraft was constantly switched.

It started as an A320, then was switched to a DC-9-50 then to a 752, then to a D93 where it remained.

Sheeeesh!

But yeah, NW flies quite a few types into EWR, including the AR7, D9X, 757 and A320 family.
