Recommendations- US To South Africa

Mon Sep 27, 2004 1:59 am

My family is thinking of going to South Africa for two weeks in February- who is cheapest and best in service? It's for 3 passengers over 12 and my 10-year-old sister.

Thanks in advance-

SA look like a good airline.
Other options, is make that journey via London (with BA), Paris (AF), Madrid (IB), Frankfurt (LH) and do one stop in Europe (by 1 or 2 nights)
Ask prices in your local travel agent.

Try flying on DL through ATL and codesharing on SAA. That way, you can fly the A346 if you haven't already.

Not sure if they're any cheaper or not, but they do "non-stop" to JNB from ATL with a refueling stop in Africa somewhere.

Whilst SA don't seem to be too bad, I would take one of the European options (BA, AF, IB etc), simply because I could then get a free stopover in London, Paris etc.
