. The best feeling for a takeoff is on a 777. Although I've tried the ones with RR
Trent 884 and 892s, I'd be eager to try the new 773ERs. I'd say they have the best feeling after all. You feel that pull when inside a 777, whereas a 747 would feel much more heavier, yet it just doesn't have that mid-range take-off power as the 777s have.
Let's see the figures.
The most powerful 744, which uses the PW4062, has 62,000 lbs. of thrust each. x4 = 248,000 lbs.
The most powerful 777, which uses the GE90-115B, has 115,000 lbs. of thrust each. x2 = 230,000 lbs.
But, the MTOW for the 744 is around 830,000 lbs, as to the 773ER's 660,000 lbs. So this gives the 777 to have a more power-to-weight ratio compared with a 744.
