Although, would Pacific Blue be considered an New Zealand airline since they operate under an NZ certificate?

There are so many international carriers, it would probably make sense to categorise them into

Full servce
Charter
Low Cost Carrier

It may also be more interesting to cut it down to intercontinental, as most European carriers fly between different European countries but you don't think of LCC's as being international airlines!

A small correction here: Aero Airlines (EE) is actually Estonian (AY subsidiary, yes, but located in Estonia)  Big grin

I am sorry, I messed up and included some airlines that don't fly regularly internationally.

  • U-Air: MVD-ROS, MVD-COR, MVD-MDZ, MVD-POA, MVD-CWB, MVD-EZE, MVD-GRU. They have also applied for EZE-PDP and MVD-SCL.

  • LAER: used to fly PRA (Paraná)-GRU with a Fokker-28. Of course the service didn't work well and they ended up declaring bankrupcy. They were then bought by American Falcon and AR's "new" F-28 is ex-LAER.

  • LADE: operates some charters during the high season, mostly to FLN and some other Brazilian resorts. They are the only 707 operator in the Americas, and perhaps the very only one in the world!

  • Austral and Aeromás: They don't fly internationally. Aeromás codeshares on Pluna flights and Austral its de facto Aerolíneas Argentinas with another name. They even use the falcon now.
