Your Very Unusual Flights

Mon Nov 01, 2004 10:24 am

I know this might be more typical of Southwest but I would have never thought American. Today while flying STL-MKE my family and I encountered our funniest flight ever. It was american connection flight 5843 with this flight attendant who seemed to be in a very bad mood. But once it was time to leave the gate things began to get interesting and we saw a different side to this lady. The first thing she said to the full plane's load of passengers was "I got some good news and some bad news. The good news is our pilot just saved money on his car insurance with Geico. The bad news is the cabin door has been closed and all electronic devices must be put away." Then she started talking about the Packer Game to us (she being from MKE and a packer fan herself) and said "If your not from MKE get over it!". Next she said our in-flight entertainment is Honey I shrunk the Plane, which was followed by "I am now going to dim the cabin lights to enhance my appearance."

Once in air (which took a while because of this one lady who tried to stow this large black case containing this blood cell scanner thingy that she wouldn’t let get checked; I wont even go into this in further detail) the flight attendant began to lose it. She knocked over some sodas, napkins, and almost her whole cart and sarcastically said "things are getting better." When she tried to push the cart down the aisle this guy was already sleeping and his leg was in the aisle. The FA tried to push it around him all carefully with out waking him up and acted like it was a game. All the passengers around were laughing. While talking to another passenger we heard her say "come back in Christmas, I'll be the one with black rings under my eyes." When we were passing over Chicago we hit some turbulence and she came on and said "the pilot has put on the fasten seat belt sign for obvious reasons." There was even more funny comments from the FA during the flight that I can't think of at the moment. After experiencing this flight I wondered how common these kind of flight attendants are. So I would like to hear about your experiences with crazy/funny flight attendants and crew. Also how often to pilots check on the score of the football games going on in the destination they are flying to. On our flight the pilot kept saying he was trying to get the score from Chicago Center. Thanks in advance for any responses!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

One time, a female flight attendant admitted to me this just before pre-boarding safety briefing:

"Look at me, I am wearing a wig."

Then all of sudden she took her wig off in front of passengers!

That was on a ValuJet flight. of the Future

once on a flight from BKK to FRA on LH, after completing boarding in the middle of the night, the purser was heard on the PA: now sit down that we can start

short before arriving in FRA, he again took the PA and announced the usual things, just that he mixed up the lines in german: stellen sie jetzt bitte die sicherheitsgurte ein und schließen sie die zigaretten. (fasten your cigarettes and stop seat belts)

i asked a FA with whom i had a longer talk on the flight about that purser. she whispered that that guy had a hard night in BKK.

I exchanged political frustration with sexual boredom. better spoil a girl than the world
