Who Has Flown The Most In The Past Year

Fri Nov 26, 2004 1:22 pm

I was wondering who had flown the most (airline flights) in the past year. I've flown a lot but im sure there have been people who have flown a lot more than I. Since january 1 2004 i have flown:

ORD-DUB
DUB-ORD

MDW-HOU-DAL
DAL-LIT-STL-MDW

DAL-ABQ-PHX
PHX-ABQ-DAL

DAL-ELP-PHX
PHX-HOU-DAL

DAL-MSY-BHM-BWI-ALB
ALB-BWI-ISP-TPA-MSY-DAL

DFW-ORD-MSP
MSP-ORD-DFW

DAL-AUS-DAL

DAL-AUS-PHX-LAS
LAS-HOU-DAL

DFW-DEN-SFO
SFO-LAX-DFW (tomorrow)

and i think im going to phoenix in a week, and probably new orleans sometime before my internship ends. who else has a lot of trips in?

I think Americans on the whole do more segments but less distance.

I am sure the people who fly the most don't have the time to keep tally of their flights. I know of people who fly 300+ sectors per year and another chap who flies nigh on 850,000 miles a year. That is miles on the ground excluding status, cabin bonus etc etc!

January:

February:
PHX-STL on HP
STL-PHX on HP
PHX-LAX on WN
LAX-PHX on WN

March:
PHX-SDJ-PHX on HP
PHX-DEN-STL-DEN-PHX on F9

May:
PHX-ORD-STL on UA

October:

December (upcoming)
SDF-ATL-BOS on DL

I should really try to consolidate my travel to one group of airlines to get some miles built up but I never seem to be able to.

Well, 16 longhauls in 4 weeks..... I don't even like food on the ground anymore... That's sad!

YTD 90 segments on UA for 98k BIS miles (I live in Cgo so with ORD as my home airport everything except LIH is non-stop for me except for one SAN run, so that's 43 roundtrips on UA alone YTD). Another 30k miles on AA doing mostly ORD-LAX runs and a few shorthauls around the Midwest. Two on European carriers doing LHR-BCN and LHR-BRU.

Well, so far at 104 + six scheduled, no one has me beat!

Just added two more for '04

Date: December 14 Flight: NW 3194
Departs: Detroit-Wayne County Int'l, MI (DTW) at 8:50AM
Arrives: Dayton-Int'l, OH (DAY) at 9:56AM

Date: December 14 Flight: NW 3758
Departs: Dayton-Int'l, OH (DAY) at 6:25PM
Arrives: Detroit-Wayne County Int'l, MI (DTW) at 7:30PM

****

Date: December 16 Flight: NW 1237
Departs: Detroit-Wayne County Int'l, MI (DTW) at 9:02AM
Arrives: Chicago-O'Hare Int'l, IL (ORD) at 9:29AM

Date: December 16 Flight: NW 1250
Departs: Chicago-O'Hare Int'l, IL (ORD) at 6:09PM
Arrives: Detroit-Wayne County Int'l, MI (DTW) at 8:29PM

So that makes a grand total of 110 flights in '04. Now, many of you have flown more longhauls, but not as many segments.

I already have 6 on the books for '05.

Top that!!

It's a bit cumbersome for me to list all the segments as all my data is on FF accounts, however, the league table of carriers (including subsideries) to the end of the year would be:

Swiss (14)
Lufthansa (12)
British Airways (9)
American (3)
China Eastern (3)
Royal Air Maroc (3)
Air France (2)
Delta (2)
EasyJet (2)
Duo (1), about a week before they "went under".

Four different continents and over ten countries visited, flights nor milage nowhere near as impressive as others on this thread, however. I could provide a comprehensive list if anyone is that bothered.....

Cheers
