Most Planes Of Same Company In One Place - Where?

Sat Nov 27, 2004 7:33 am

Here's another trivia (to which I don't know the answer myself  Big grin Sad

at which airport can you see the highest number of planes from the same company at the same time? This is not the same as saying "which is the biggest hub", as there may be some big hubs with "de-peaked" schedules.

Maybe these are candidates:

If you want the most for a particular airline, ORD is that airport for UA:

For Qantas that would be Sydney, having said said where else would you see up to 5 or 6 QF red tail 744's at once other than SYdney - LAX that is

Maybe CO at EWR, as is one of their hubs, with many a/c on the ground in the late afternoon and evening hours due to long domestic and international flights at those times.

No, no, no, you're all looking in the wrong places! One candidate has to be PLH where I believe the entire Air Southwest fleet sits overnight - that's 100% of the fleet in one location, which I believe is what Mozart is asking. Yes, that's all three (3) planes.

PS might be other candidates.

LV,

I'd agree, FX is huge at MEM and flights are going 24/7 there!

It has to ATL, between DL mainline and the wholly owned Delta Connection carriers (ASA and Comair), that's a lot of company metal at one place during pushes. During a typical push, they can have close to 150+ a/c on the ground between DL, EV, and OH.

AKL for NZ though there probably aren't to many photos around that would show more than 4-5 NZ aircraft in AKL at once but jets alone A320's 744's 767's and 733's you could get around 13-15 together plus the props which you can see half the fleet in AKL together.
