If Continental had a hub at DFW with nonstop flights I would always fly them, unfortunantely good things take time.

DC-4 Skymaster, SAA has 2, ZS-BMH and ZS-AUB, one of them is the last DC-4 ever built. They also have a Spanish-built Junkers JU-52, ZS-AFA, but it has been grounded for quite a while now so I haven't had the pleasure of travelling on her yet.

Ford 4-AT-E trimotor built in August of 1933; that was on a sight seeing tour last year. The oldest active commerical airplane was a DC-4 charter in September 1960 from EWR to SAT, don't know the manufactured date on that airplane. I also didn't know you could put 75 seats in a DC-4!!

Hi,

Mine was Monarch Airlines DC-10-30 - G-DMCA built in 1980. I flew on it twice across the Atlantic to and from Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic:
