Bottom line for all carriers: Must have at least two classes of service on each flight.
Elite perks: Three tier levels (Silver, Gold, Platinum). FF
program is for the alliance, not individual carriers. Each year, the silver member receives 10 points, golds receive 25 points, and plats receive 50 points. Here's the breakdown:
1 point = 500 mile segment upgrade (to clear depending on status)
1 point = 1 buy on board meal
2 points = lounge access
5 points = confirmed regional upgrade from any fare
10 points = confirmed systemwide upgrade from any fare
15 points = lounge membership
20 points = double upgrade (Y to F) from full Y fare
25 points = double upgrade (Y to F) from discount fares
All upgrades valid on all carriers within alliance.
Silvers can use points to access any elite lounge. Points are good for all travel associated with a same day ticket.
Golds can access any lounge when on an international ticket without points.
Plats can use any lounge at any time with same day ticket.
Anyone can buy a lounge membership for access whether or not travelling on a GLOBAL carrier.
