Gee thanks ANCFlyer  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

1) SEA - Home airport. I really like the new A concourse, the check in & baggage claim extension, and I'm really looking forward to the new central terminal expansion - construction so far is looking great.

2) BFI - While not commonly known for commercial operations there are few commercial operators here. The great thing about BFI is the incredible variety of aircraft - everything from Piper J-3 cubs to 747-400s. BFI counts as my second home airport  Smile.

3) SJC - I've always liked deplaning via stairs at terminal C and squinting at the bright sunshine. Its always a welcome break when I fly down there from SEA.

4) YVR - I like the international terminal & more international traffic variety than at SEA. Plus I always seem to get a better deal flying to Asia via YVR than directly from SEA.

5) If HNL counts then that's next. The outdoors feeling of the terminal concourses really adds to the arrival experience. OGG is similar.

1. ATL: Worlds busiest airport, Delta's Headquarters/Largest Hub, See every Delta aircraft type/livery, AirTran, Very easy to connect if you know your way around, decent spotting areas, extremely clean, large and modern.

2. DFW: Very busy, good spotting areas, see a shitload of AA aircraft, beautiful terminal design.

3. MCO: Current hometown airport, pretty busy/large, modern/beautiful architecture, exotic plantings, lots of aircraft.

4. LAX: Speaks for itself.

5. PHX: Awesome design, pretty busy, great view of the mountains.

Me thinks the CEO of CheapJet Airways, aka Delta767300ER needs to go back to Geography School . . . . unless I missed a major shift on the planet and ATL and MCO (or DFW and PHX for that matter) have suddenly relocated to the West Coast of the USA???

Sorry about that guys, I wasnt thinking. Let me add some west coast airports then:

HNL: Busy, Great Int'l traffic as well as domestic heavies, great views on landing/takeoff.

OGG: I love the open air baggage claims, beautiful scenery, lots of Aloha 737-200's.

BTW, We have some openings at CheapJet Airways  Big thumbs up

I've only been to one airport on the west coast and that one was YVR.

I was really impressed with their facilities. I have read that it was rated one of the best.

One day I'll visit more and give you my full evaluation  Wink/being sarcastic

Andreas  Big thumbs up

1. SAN: Great approach, hopefully more int'l service in 2005
2. LAX: can't beat Imperial Hill or the In'N'Out
3. SEA: Interesting variety (SK, Aeroflot, EVA Air)
4. HNL: Great location, good variety of airlines
5. PDX: NW A330 to NRT speaks for itself

I'll just pick two:
SEA- Nice, and easy to navigate. The international satelite is really neat and presents some nice views of the airport, planes, and the runways. Very uncongested in the times I have visited it. SEA also has a good variety of international flights, something my home airport lacks.
PDX- My home airport, but I like the size...Not too big like LAX and not too small. The airport is easy to navigate, and is pretty modern. The mountains and rivers in the background of the airport make approaches amazing and unique.

I like SEA, but one downside is that it can get fogged in for long periods this time of year. Also, there is no Starbuck's in the D concourse - I have to run over to the C concourse for my morning jolt. I've flown international in and out of SEA quite a bit and found that the customs people are real nice and pleasant. One last thing - people in Seattle still haven't gotten a clue about the arrivals lane. Its always packed with cars waiting to people up (actually, I haven't looked lately - it just used to always be this way).

LAX isn't bad, but I far prefer BUR. I can get in and out of there in a flash. I love being able to walk 200' to my rental car.

I'm looking forward to my ANC journey in april/may, the quality of the photos from there is exceptional, LAX is great but if the smog is hanging around it's a disaster!
