First Time Flying A Giant Jetliner

Mon Jan 10, 2005 9:14 am

My first giant jetliner flight was an AA Boeing 772ER, BOS-LHR.

Describe, as accurately as possible, your first time flying a giant commercial airliner, including the type of aircraft, the route you flew, and the carrier on which you flew. I consider a giant jetliner to be any variant of the following: Boeing 747, Boeing 767, Boeing 777, Lockheed L-1011, McDonnell Douglas DC-10, Airbus A300, Airbus A310, Airbus A330, and Airbus A340.

last summer i flew on DL BWI-ATL-FLL round trip. the ATL-FLL leg was on the mighty 767-400. i was so excited to fly on it because that was the biggest plane ive ever flown on and still is. The FLL-ATL flight was also on a 764. my favorite part of the trip was taking off from ATL. The sound of those engines reving up is amazing, and the takeoff was surprisingly steep for such a huge plane with that many people( load factor was at least 95%). it was cool to see the wings bend so high. the flights were very smooth too. i think the only reason i like DL so much is because of the aircraft i get to fly on. BWI-ATL was on a 757, and ATL-BWI, an MD-88.

My first was a 767 (200 i think) CWL to Orlando International with Britannia. Since then I have flown the 767 a few times with Mytravel and American Airlines. Recently flown and AA 777 which was amazing and have flown on MYT's DC-10-30 too.
Equally Cursed and Blessed.
