Favourite Boeing 737 Model?

Fri Jan 21, 2005 9:05 pm

I like the Boeing 737-500. I just like the look of it.

I was just wondering what people's favourite 737 was.

Thanks,
Pierre

I like the 737-800 most! I mean from the pilots point of view! Good to handle, lots of power and nice cockpit....

But I am flying the 737-300/500 at the moment, they are old, but just AWESOME and fun to fly... I really enjoy them....

Just from looks: the 737-200 because of those sleek engines and the 737-700/800 with blended winglets.

AeroWeanie, that must honestly qualify for the "Ugliest Thing Flying"-Award...  Big thumbs up

Nonetheless, while I'm not really a fan of the B737, I've always liked the way that SAA's B737-800s with winglets look...

The 737-800 without the mid-cabin lavatory option. I am usually seated in the front of coach and the lav traffic and odor is bothersome. I do not know what percentage of the CO 800's have the mid cabin lav but it seems like about half.

I do know that the FA's like the mid-cabin lav as it helps with traffic when they have carts in the aisle.

The 800's do seem a little smoother and more powerful than the smaller models. Also the winglet models seem to have a little more zip. Probably psychological on my part but they look good too.

My favorite 737 model has to be the -800 w/ winglets. Such a neat looking bird.

All of them with the flat-bottom engine, but my favorite is the 737-800 with the blended winglets, either AS, CO, or WN.

I like SWA's "New Mexico One" with the blended winglets. I really like the simplicity of the design. "The 737-700 carries a depiction of the state's official flag, anchored by the ancient symbol of the Zia Pueblo Indians."

737-800 - those DL Shuttle with leather seats and good legroom were great...

737-400 - the only subsonic airliner I flew on only in premium class (SU Business and BA Club Europe)!

737-900 I thought it will be the replacement for the B757, but only a few orders are booked for this long one. Unfortunately

I must say that I like the Classics 300/400/500. They were the first Boeings I flew on and I still like them. Real workhorses and still used a lot.

I enjoy the the 737-500 for its looks and the 737-800 for its comfort. I've never really been a fan of the 737's though... I find them boring since you're always on them. I'd rather ride an A319/A320, which I find more comfortable on United.
