Sun Jan 23, 2005 8:03 am

There are a few airlines that are way over due for new livery ....

AF - I hope before A380
SQ - I hope will get new for A380

BA - Only because current one sucks.

Alitalia could be out of business in a few weeks so don't expect much from them for quite a long time.

Alitalia's is a classic, I don't think it should be changed.

Iberia need a new one though!

Don't like southwest's new one either.

Air China need a new one, defenitely!

Merhaba Emrecan,

I totally agree with you, Turkish Airlines needs some more 'colour' in their livery. The tail logo is very nice, but the fuselage is too white. I suggested in other posts that it would be nice to write Turkish Airlines both in English and in Turkish (Türk Hava Yollari) with a stylised crane (bird) on the fuselage accompanied with a red cheatline (stripe) like Pakistan International Airlines now has on their new livery. It's just my idea for giving a bit more creative look to TK's current livery. But, as you already said, I like the current tail logo, very nice  Big thumbs up

I seriously hope that Aviacsa gets a new livery soon. I think they need something more colorful and modern.

BA's livery is very with the times! Surprised no-ones said Air India! I mean c'mon, it makes the 777 look as old as a DC-3 Big grin,

now move this into the polls...

In my opinion, Continental. I mean, it's nice and simple to recognise, but it's so boring! i think they should have a new Livery for a new CEO, now with Gordan gone.

Wasn't the air india livery changed once and people kicked up a stink so the old livery had to be brought back?

Yes, Air India introduced a modern livery, but it wasn't the official "Your Palace In The Sky", and Indian public sentiment demanded the return of the old scheme.

Personally, I love the new United scheme, but I SO wish they would do a flying colors sceme - I think it would be cool to see that scheme in red, green, orange, copper, silver, gold, etc...what do y'all think?

Personally, NO ONE has needed a make over worse than Avianca - orange was never a good color, and the plain white with a tiny butterfly is a joke. Something bold and dramatic is needed.

Ok.... for US airlines it's definetly American but I think they should keep their colors and probably will. Continental comes second but I like their livery. All the other airlines seem to be updated.

Well I can't say I like NW's silver livery, it makes those DC-9's look even more ancient than thay already are...

But I, for one, like Southwest's new livery. I thought the brown was too light and made even new paint look faded. The blue is much better.

AA and SQ.

SQ - has the most blah livery out there. The image of the merilion (the dragon that emerged from the sea. I think this is what thier logo is) is all block and has not curves to it. Their livery manages to make the 777 look dirty and dowdy. It could definately stand to be refreshed. They need to "86" that cream soda color too. Whenever I spot at SFO, I don't look forward to the SQ planes. They aren't any fun.

AA - I like AA's general concept with the all silver and red/blue lettering and double AA. I don't think they should completely change the livery per se since it is their trademark, but I think they should freshen it a bit. How about a more up to date logo on the tail and a new font for "American". Otherwise I love the silver!

I don't really think many airlines need much of a change. If they did change you'd all be saying "I hate this livery - I prefer the old one better" just like you have for AC/TG and the rest of the new liveries out there.

Southwest's livery looks horrible, bland, dull, and crappy in any color.
They're hopeless.

I would say SK. I just don't like the mix of colors they use. Blue and orange is a little weird combination in my eyes and that weird grey color doesn't make me much happier either. I think a refreshment of their old livery would be much nicer. A little more colors and perhaps some stylish lines going across the fuselage and a nice font for the Scandinavian Airlines titles. I know it won't happen but you can always dream  Smile

AC "new" (so bad!)
Malev (so boring!)
Alitalia (so old!)
El Al (icky)
LOT (old)
PIA (booooring)

Hoe can someone say that BA's livery is outdated :S that is just odd noting that they do have one of the newest and most beautful out there (not as good as VS tho  Laugh out loud)
