AA 767 Or 777 MAN-LAX

Mon Jan 24, 2005 9:21 pm

OK I have a few options here and just want some opinions:

MAN-ORD-LAX on an AA 767 returning LAX-LHR-MAN on an AA 777 and BA 757

or

MAN-LHR-LAX with BA 757 and AA 777 and same on the return.

The latter is £40 more expensive, which would you go for?

Pro's of 777:
PVT's
Shorter outgoing flight
Much more room

Pro's of 767:
Get to see a bit of Chicago
£40 cheaper

Any more?

Hello

I'd personally go for the first option. Then you get to see a bit of ORD airport and the pleasure of flying on a T7 on the return.

Thats just my 2 pence worth anyhow. Enjoy the trip.

P.S Whats the aircraft ORD-LAX?

If I were you, I'd see about using BD MAN-ORD or MAN-LAS then a connecting local service (UA or HP maybe). BD's standards run rings around those of AA and BA. PTV's, newer planes, free alcohol in Y .

Up to you, but if it was me, I'd avoid AA like the plague.

I am flying MAN-ORD-LAX and v/v next month with BD and UA. I would say go for bmi instead of AA, cost was £277 return, although i did see one option of AA MAN-MIA-LAX-ORD-MAN for £226, but these fares have gone now.

I got a good price on AA over £100 cheaper than the next cheapest. AA are actually doing fares for about £300 on the dates i want to go, but I decided to fly MAN-LHR-LAX I've done this route before and the PVT's are a god send on this route. I've flown MAN-ORD before on the 767, No PVT's and I didnt really get to see much of chicago as I was connecting to MIA. The ORD to LAX route is on a 767.
