Bangkok Airways -- How Is It?

Thu Feb 03, 2005 7:02 am

I'm scheduled to fly on Bangkok Airways this summer. How is the airline....comfort / safety etc. It got extremely high remarks on airline quality. Wondering if any Anetters have anything to add

I really enjoyed my one round-trip on Bangkok Airways to Koh Samui (an airport that I believe the airline built!) Free internet access and snacks in their dedicated departure area at BKK and more than adequate in-flight snacks. I think I have read somewhere since then that they participate in AF's frequent flyer programme.

I have flown PG twice - between REP - BKK and secondly BKK - LPQ.

I found PG to be a perfectly good airline and took me to my destination on time and safely. They easily stood up to scrutiny against TG who I flew BKK - PNH in terms of comfort.

They also have some of the sexiest liveries in SE Asia.

And if you fly into any of the secondary airports in some SE Asian countries, be prepared for a bit of organised chaos.

HKT-BKK at Easter 2004. Nice 717 with a great livery ("Cambodia" I think the name was). What more can you say? You'll enjoy it.
