Same Flight #s You Have Taken Multiple Times

Sun Feb 13, 2005 3:30 am

What are some of the same route/same flight #s you have taken multiple times in your life??? I was just trying to recount some of mine....what was the routing of the particular aircraft and what segment did you fly??

For myself:

Northwest Airlines 52 SFO-DTW (continued to FRA)
-operated with a 757 and changed to a D10 in DTW
Northwest Airlines 929 DTW-SFO (continued to HNL)
-took this at least 4 times in the early to mid 1990s, operated w/ DC-10
Delta Connection 5213 CVG-DTW
-40 seat ComAir CRJ...Taken twice in the past year...aircraft used same approach into DTW both times
Delta 271 SAV-ATL (continued to SLC)
4:45 departure into ATL was packed 3 different times I took it
Delta 731 ATL-PBI
One time it operated with a very new looking 767-300, other time the 767 was slightly older...both times overhead bins opened upon arrival into PBI
Delta 832 CVG-BDL (inbound from SEA)
Both times with a 767-200...one time they didn't play Delta Horizons which was weird...

Okay maybe this is a dumb thread, but you might have fun with it....

LP 511/510 MIA-LIM-MIA

6 times, going up to 8 in late March. I think that's the only route I've flown multiple times.

I have taken ATA flight 101 (LGA-IND) about 4 times. It left LGA around 530pm and got into Indy around 730, depending on the time of year. It was first operated by the 738, then the 752, then it went back to the 738. It is now discontinued.

I have been on so many WN flights 2004-2005 my spreadsheet with flight numbers and tail numbers is HUGE:

Flight 7 DAL-HOU 24 times
Flight 50 HOU-DAL 17 times
Flight 52 HOU-DAL 4 times
Flight 54 HOU-DAL 3 times

I also travel DAL-TUL, DAL-OKC, DAL-MCI (through OKC and TUL-damn Wright Amendment) and DAL-STL (again through OKC and TUL) and DAL-AUS every month. I've lost count of most of those flights.

I would guess 70 flights over a 12 month period on WN, mostly the same flight numbers.

There is a thread going on here about the longest, continuous route (still haven't mastered posting a link to a thread here) in which I talk about flight 917/918, MIA - LIM - MIA. I have taken that flight approximately 50 times in the last 30 years. I started with Braniff, continued with Eastern, and then AA, all with the same flight number and the same (give or take) departure time of 4:50 p.m. I have flown DC-8, L-1011, A300, 757, 727, 767, as far as I recall.
In order to get to that flight, I've taken the 7 a.m. transcon flight SFO-MIA on all of the above mentioned carriers. The most recent is the MIA-SFO flight that AA operates, flt. 431. I know I've been on that flight at least 12 or so times, maybe more. The eastbound flight has changed flight numbers a few times.
Do I win?

DL61/60 HAM-ATL/ATL-HAM, some 8 times
DL125/124 BRU-ATL/ATL-BRU, 5 times
Also, basically always the same flights from ATL to JAX, departing at around 5:30 pm, ca 15 times, but the number always changes.

From 1984 almost until the very end of AA service to BFL in 1997, the 6:30 PM departure of MD-80 AA flight DFW-BFL was #607. Other flights in/out changed constantly, but 607 stayed the same. And yes, I took this flight many times after connecting from FSM coming to my (former) home airport, BFL.

I've been scheduled on AS146 oodles of times (almost every time I fly out of the state). It's the last flight of the day FAI-ANC. I say scheduled, because more often than not, it runs late and I get rescheduled on AS140 (which should leave an hour earlier, but usually leaves at the time scheduled for 146)

I have never had a repeat flight number yet, although the most likely candidate will be SQ282.

I have flown on CO1903 and CO1902 EWR-STT and STT-EWR, respectively, 4 times, soon to be 5 in March. We have a timeshare at the Westin in St. John, and the CO nonstop is by far the easiest way for us to get to STT.

From present and then journeying back in the day Big thumbs up

1. FL 486 MIA - BWI, FL 447 BWI-ATL
2. FL 478 and or 462 (now 1762) ATL-BWI This decade

3. National Airlines 103 BWI-MIA late 60's early 70's
4. Eastern Airlines 173 BWI-MIA and always returned on Eastern 172 MIA-BWI.

Would you believe flying on Eastern 172 5 times?
The Eastern BWI-MIA flights in the late 70's and early 80's would be A 300 and L1011 service. Alas, I always flew in the late spring and late summer months (slower time of year to MIA back in the day) so, all my Eastern flights listed above were on 727's with the ecception of one flight on 172 in August of 1970 which was a DC 9.

Well, my username gives away the answer to this question:

JM017 KIN-JFK (nine times)
JM010 JFK-MBJ-KIN (three times)
JM016 JFK-KIN (four times)

JM040 BWI-MBJ or BWI-MBJ-KIN (six times)
JM041 KIN-MBJ-BWI or MBJ-BWI (seven times)

For the last two flight numbers, sometimes the flights originated or terminated in KIN, sometimes not.

WN flt 95 between ELP-PHX has operated since at least 1989 and still does. I myself have flown it at leats a dozen times since then. It used to operate mid-afternoon and now its a late morning flight, but its still around.

I've flown on Delta 581 (LaGuardia to Atlanta) at least a dozen times (6 L1011s, 5 763s and 1 752).

I'm sure there are more, but that's the only one I'm positive about.

The only big repeaters I have are:

AA 655 JFK-STT B757
AA 412 STT-JFK B757

I have done these probably 6 times, probably will add a seventh before summer's end. It has almost always left JFK at 8am and arrived at JFK around 530pm.

Years ago, I took a DL flight from SLC-PDX on a 727. I don't know the flight number but it left at about 830AM, we took it twice . This last summer, we took a UA flight DEN-SEA a few times. Other than that, we really haven't done much more.

Quite difficult, as I don't record flight #s as I let the frequent flyer cards do this for me:

Recently: the LH727/8 pairing, MUC/PVG gets my vote for the longhaul; every 2 months + since last July and likely to continue to the end of 2005

Others:

BA1691/2 ZRH/MAN/GLA is quite covenient for me: maybe 5 times in last 2 years

LX766/7 BSL/BRU is common with work; less so from now on for myself

Over the years, LHR & LGW to GLA & EDI: many flights, however, at different times of the day to pin down flight #s. Ratio BA to bmi would be 9.5:1, however.

Cheers

Hi,

The only flight I've taken Multiple times is:

(Returns)

AMM 857C/D air2000-Nottingham East Midlands to Palma de Mallorca-03'
FCA 857C/D First Choice- Nottingham East Midlands to Palma de Mallorca-04'

AMM rebranded to FCA in around Winter 03/04, that's why different flight codes.
