Just last night I booked a ticket to fly from ATL to NUE in June/July. I leave ATL in the early afternoon on AA to MIA. I arrive there at 5:00p.m. but my next flight is not until 7:45p.m. on Swiss to ZRH. I then connect onto a flight to NUE from ZRH, again on Swiss. The return path is the same and I have a slightly longer layover time in MIA on the way back. From what I have figured out, the flight from MIA to ZRH departs out of the A terminal. I do not know what terminal my flight from ATL to MIA arrives in. What do you think about the A terminal in MIA? Is it where I want to spend almost three hours, or do you suggest going somewhere else in the airport?
Also, what is the customs and immigration like in MIA at 5:15p.m., which is when I arrive back in MIA from ZRH two weeks later? Do different terminals use different customs and immigrations areas, or do they all funnel into one area? Thank you for your input.
