How Many Times Do You Fly Per Year?

Fri Mar 04, 2005 6:21 pm

I have three flights purchased and I will be heading back to Cleveland two more times in September and November, as well as likely in December for the holidays. I plan on taking advantage of the new Chautauqua service from FLL-NAS some time as well. Business aside, I was wondering how many times people travel for leisure each year.

My next three flights are:

On Chautauqua/Delta/ASA, Mar. 16 from PBI-TLH on a ERJ, connecting to a 738 from TLH-ATL and then a CR7 from ATL-CAK. I chose the TLH routing specifically for spotting purposes. On the return, Mar. 22, I fly from CAK-ATL on a CR7 and ATL-PBI on a 763.

On Delta/Song, June 23 from PBI-PHL direct on an MD88 through ATL. I am returning on Song from JFK-PBI on a 4pm flight and I plan to get there as early as possible to spot on my first trip to JFK.

On Northwest/Mesaba, Aug. 25 from FLL-DTW on a 319, connecting to a SAAB 340 from DTW-CAK. The same routing is in return on Aug. 29. I chose this routing to fly on the SAAB, as I've been on a prop only once from MCO-FLL on Comair in a EMB-120. I look forward to the noise!

Cheers. Kilavoud.

I try to get at least one roundtrip a month, so, at least 24 times a year.
I'm to addicted not to do so...

All-

Last year, just over 50 individual flights; this year I will hit 20 by the end of Q1, which pro rata, will be around 80 for the year.

Strangely, my most common route over the year may perhaps be MUC-PVG, which I am doing a round trip on every couple of months, although sometimes, due to availability I have to go via VIE or FRA to/from Shanghai.

Cheers

I'm a little slow this year, only 5 segments so far YTD, did 47 in total last year.

I imagine less this year, bought a classic car, still needs some restoration Smile

I fly 5 days a week, so it's a lot!

I have 83 segments flown through 3/7 so far this year.
