Hands down Star Alliance is much better than Oneworld. I have a BA
Exec Blue Card and have flown about 30 times over the last 4 years with them. I have never recieved a statement or letter from BA
in these 4 years. What the hell are they playing at!
I hear that your miles become obsolete if you do not Their lower tier status earns you jack all. What's the point in flying with an airline that does not even let you know how many miles you may or may not have?!!!! I think BA
is a fantastic airline however they need to improve their Exec Club to attract me to their Long Haul routes.
I also have an Aeroplan Silver and received 6 upgrade certificates, four lounge passes and a monthly statement. However when I was a normal aeroplan member I still got annual statements and loads of Air Canada and Star Alliance news and offers, which I actually used!
Star Alliance gives you such a good choice of operaters when flying long haul. On the LHR
route which I do regularly, one can chose from;
Austrian Airlines, Lauda Air
Air New Zealand
Its fantastic to have so many carriers to chose from. They are all unique in their own way and offer a wide range of Service Products to accommodate the most demanding of travellers. They cater for the needs of their customers and that is so important in Air Travel. In any Business for that matter! Also StarAll's airlines are normally cheaper than BA
, Qantas and Cathay Pacific on the same routes.
The Star Alliances consortium is first rate and rewards travellers alot more than OneWorld.
This is just from my experience, so easy on the hate threads from One World die hards.
Good work Star Alliance!!
Veni, vidi, vici.
