AF 90/95 CDG-MIA-CDG

Thu May 12, 2005 3:29 am

hi guys

at the end of the month I fly to MIA with an AF 744
for the same price (525€ all taxes) I had the choice between AA which I flew last december already, and AF.I chose AF hoping to have better service (food!) and a PTV

I have 2 questions:
- will I have a PTV for sure? have all AF 744 been retrofitted?
- last time I spent 2 hours at immigration when we arrived at 4pm from CDG with AA; this time we'll arrive at around 2pm from CDG.
does anybody know if it will be a bit better at MIA for INS clearance?

Yes at 2pm it might be a little better. But it is always busy there. Only time it is not busy in Immigration is 7:30am-1:00pm and after 7pm to 4am.

Only 3 AF 744 have PTVs in all Coach seats.

Older 744 modified with the new Config (no First Class) have PTVs in Coach only in the upper deck cabin.
Avoid 777 with 3-4-3 config in Y ! They are real sardine cans

thanks for your input!

TGV : it's possible to fly 1st class on AF90's 744....so I hope it's one of the retrofitted exemplaries with PTV in cattle

I noticed some 744s are based at ORY nowadays flying to FDF and RUN: these machines must be concerned by the new config where 1st class has dissapeared and with no PTV in Y

I believe all AF flights to MIA right now have first class, at least the 744 flight; not sure about the A343 flight. But come winter it is rumoured that one of the flights will change to 772ER flight, more than likely the A343.

MIASkies
about the 2nd AF to MIA with an A340: it seems it's not existing anymore...
maybe it will be revived for the winter.
772ER could be a replacement for the 744 as it happened on YUL, LAX and HKG
