But, if you are in first, or business class, dress comfortably, but don't look sloppy at all
I have a bit of a story for you Nwafflyer.
I non-reved to SLC
the night of the 9th of May to catch the 0800 flight to MSP
the next morning. I slept (if you could call laying on the infamously uncomfortable bolted-together chairs actual sleep) all of 3 hours that night. Was actually kind of funny being the ONLY person in concourse A all night long. At least CNN played all night long. The next morning, the gate agent woke me up, saying that they were expecting a full flight at 7 am to DTW
, so I should wake up or sleep somewhere else. I went in the rest room, tried to make myself presentable. HA
! I was wearing sandals, jeans, and a T-shirt that looked "slept in". I then went and checked in with this gate agent. He was very kind after I explained why I was there, I showed him my GQ
id, and he tinkered some, and got me a first class seat to MSP
, and all I had was an expedia coach seat. What a great guy. And like I said, I was wearing jeans and a wrinkled t-shirt. Don't think its THAT big of a deal. If they pay for a first class seat, they can wear what they want.
This is, of course, IMHO...

This isn't where I parked my car...
