I do not really miss Piedmont Airlines. But the name of Piedmont has some value to it, I would say.

Absolutely,
Their planes were clean, their service excellent, and their staff friendly. In addition, there were little nuances that made the flight better; such as more room under the seat in front of you for your carry-on bags and the fold down tray had two recesses for drinks, such as a soda and coffee or whatever.

The company had some of the lowest costs with the highest employee loyalty of any airline I had ever been involved with.

Flying with Piedmont was an enjoyable experience.

Yes, I miss the Pacemakers as well. They had a good quality product at a very reasonable price. Here's a link to Piedmont's fleet history. Regards.

I enjoyed flying Piedmont on the two occasions I used them. I flew on their intra-Florida service to TLH once from FLL via MCO - and to CLE via CLT from FLL. That is the only time I've ever been on an F28.

They offered friendly service and it was definitely one of the more favorable experiences I've had flying.

I had some really nice flights with Piedmont - having family in North Carolina, sometimes there was no choice but to use them! I flew their B767 service LGW-CLT about a week after the service started. I even saw their 767 land at LGW after the first test flight late one Saturday afternoon when I was hanging out at the airport - it was great knowing that I would be on that flight heading to CLT a couple of weeks later. I remember being a bit disappointed (and, at the time, a bit concerned) that I would be crossing the Atlantic in a 767...well, it was 1987! It turned out to be a really nice flight, even if one of the F/A's did deploy the emergency chute when she opened the door on arrival in CLT...I don't think I've ever seen anyone else go so red!

I also remember once buying one of their East Coast passes, allowing four flights on their network for not much money at all. I used it to fly CLT-BWI-EWR-BOS-CLT - again, all nice flights.

My cousins in NC say that they were always bumping into old High School friends on flights who had gone on to work as Piedmont flight attendants and consequently spent long periods of time catching up with them in the rear galley, so I know that they miss Piedmont!
Ladies & gentlemen this is Captain Tobias Wilcock welcoming you aboard Coconut Airways flight 372 to Bridgetown Barb

I remember Piedmont. They used to have a ATL-FAY service that would alternate between a Fokker and a 737-200. They would serve drinks and a full meal on a flight that was less than 1hr. After Piedmont got swallowed up this was one of the first routes axed and now the only service is on ASA  crazy
