I think at BHX we have a BA hanger, not sure though?

I think every airline that has offices here in Frankfurt has hangers - where else would people hang their coats?  Wink

As for hangars, quite obviously Lufthansa has some, as does the US military (don't know which branch), and there used to be hangars for Aerolloyd - though I'm not sure who uses them these days... perhaps Aero Flight?

Hangars @ ATL:

DL
FL

The former NW DC-9 hangar is still sitting unused. I think NW has a skeleton staff there, and the parking lot and the ramp in front of the hangar are used by the Atlanta Police Department for driver's training, and every once in a while, DL parks a/c over there when they have extra a/c @ ATL.

At PHL we have the huge US hangar...gotta love that when they're repainting the 757's and it's even better when the A330's are in for maintenence.

Well here at JFK we have a brand new Jetblue Hanger that can house 4 planes at one time but will normally have only 3 with hardstand outside it. Its right in from of AA Term. 7. AA also has a large hanger that you can see from the airtrain. I'm going to assume Delta has a hanger here but I'm not sure where exactly.

The super bay is owned by AA. United uses the north side for their 747-400 maintenance. I think the old Flying Tiger and Delta hangar is still up. I haven't been down to SFO in years.

In PDX, Horizon has a hangar. There are two other hangars that a aircraft paint company, and Skywest use.

Here at HAM, only Lufthansa Technic has hangars, but sure alot of them. They do mx for alot of airlines (LH and partners of course), and do alot of interior work for the rich sheiks and other businessmen, as well as reconfigure used planes for new operators (ex-SQ A343s for EK, as an example).

There is a Delta hangar as well as an old TWA hangar at SFO but they aren't used for aircraft maintenance anymore. Just storage and cargo items.

I think Delta has one but it is probably buried away in all the cargo stuff and all the other airlines have them for cargo. (UA,CO,VS etc......)

I think Air Wisconsin has some maintenance here, but it's closing IIRC.

DFW:

AA has an enormous hanger on the west side that can hold probably 5-6 narrowbodies or 3-4 widebodies at one time, and AA Eagle has a smaller hangar in front that can also handle probably 3-4 planes at once. In addition, there is a huge ramp out in front of the hangars that AA uses for a lot of more periodic maintenance.

DL also used to have a DFW hangar, but I think it is now closed given DL's recent pull down of DFW service. However, according to rumors on A.net a few days back, UPS has reached an agreement in principle with DL and DFW to take over the facility. Wouldn't surprise me -- UPS has a very big presence at DFW as FedEx mostly operates out of AFW across town.

We used to have Western(which DL took over and then demolished when the terminal was extension was added) and Pacific Northern, which NW took over and met the same fate as the DL hangar.

UA had one where the present day D6-12 is today.

DL's hangar has got to be pretty large- up until last year, they RONd a 762 for m/x there, and NW had a 742 engine changed out there last year IIRC.

CO's building is actually a garage for ground equipment, but they occasionally park planes in front of it overnight when they are RONing 6 planes with their 5 gates (4 CO, 1 DH, 1 HP)

The largest aircraft I've seen UAL pull into their hangar at EWR is the 757, when they were flying EWR-NRT and EWR-LHR they with 747s they would park them in front of the hangar in between flights.

In the background of this photo you can see the tail of a UAL 757 sticking out of the UAL hangar at EWR.

Here at Tulsa, AA has a sizeable maintenance base. Work is done on the MD80, 738, 757, and A300s. Their complex can be seen on the farside of the runway in the lower left.

Chautauqua/Republic and American Eagle have hangars at CMH. Northwest uses another hangar for light DC-9 maintenance, but I don't think they outright own it. Netjets too has a set of hangars on the norths side of the airfield.

YLW has hangers for Kelowna Flightcraft. They do heavy work and checks for Convairs, B727 (seen lots of old AA, TW, DL, US there) as well as 737s (there's an old -200 just came in from LAM I believe) and coming in the fall, B757.

No airlines have hangers at Islip (ISP/KISP), but there is a company that has a hanger near the end of runway 15R (I forget the name of the company) that can do engine repair and airframe repair. While I never seen a airline at or in this hanger there is always business planes parked there.

Sometimes when they do engine repairs I can hear them testing the engines from my house which is very cool!

None. Our home airport is a privately owned facility-not public use. Only aircraftn that use the field other than those based here are invitation only guests and the occasional government aircraft.
