First Time At FLL

Thu Aug 25, 2005 7:46 pm

On Sunday, Oct 2, I will be flying SDF-JFK via FLL on Delta. (I know FLL is way outta the way, but it was cheaper and I get to go on a 757, a plane I have never flown on.) I have been to SDF and JFK numerous times, so I am very familiar with those airports. However I have never been to FLL. My layover is 1 hour long. Will it be easy to change planes there? will I have enough time to grab something to eat? And how easy is it to navigate the DL Terminal? Thanks in advance for the advance for the tips and advice.

Its not a very large terminal and it should be very easy to connect to your gate. if you really have 1 hour you might have enought time to grab some fast food or something. But the connection should be easy. FLL is no DFW or ATL thats for sure.

you will probably go into D6 or D7 or D8...then you will walk on the tarmac and into the gate area...
Food is located in the central area (there is a food court) and then your departure gate will probably be D1 D2 or D3 (although they sometimes use D9) which is just on the other side of the terminal. In 1 hour you'll have plenty of time...I'd say 20 mins is plenty of time at FLL...it literally is a box and the public area is a horseshoe. There also is a crown room in the center of the terminal and a DVD rental station near D1!
