DEN certainly has to rank at the top!
Doesn't each of the concourses have a center or core like C? And is that a Lear Jet hanging from the ceiling?
is another beauty! I flew there in 1994 prior to construction of the new portion of the main terminal. The lower level was ugly - the upper level gave me a nostalgic feeling. The main terminal itself is a thing of beauty to behold from the air and when leaving and entering the airport. It's dramatic and imposing in a way that Lambert's main terminal (or East Terminal for that matter could never be.)
Terminal One - doesn't have DEN
's bling-bling, and it doesn't have IAD
's classic charm, but it is a modern wonder all its own. I was awed the first time I walked through there and went through the underground tunnel from Concourse C over to B to get to baggage claim.
Just to add my
, I'll add MDW
to the list. The 3 level terminal and overpass to the concessions triangle and 3 concourses is itself a thing of beauty. The makeover helped MDW
become an international airport again! The old building was a classic and I used to love getting a glimpse of what life was like in the 1950s and 60s, but what they have now is top notch!
