United...which is also the only airline I've ever flown...well, unless you count those two UAX flights on AWAC as another airline.

I'm not sure the airplane...maybe someone could help me out, but it was August 4th (give or take a few days) PDX-DEN on UA. I'm guessing a 732 or 731. I was just 10 days old.

Pan American.

It was in 1974, on the MAD-JFK route. I was 1 year old then, so I only know it by the things my parents have told me  Smile .

Aircraft type?...don't about that, but it may have been a DC8 or a B707.

I had the chance to fly that same route with Pan Am again in 1989 (B747-100) and 1990 (A310).

Air NZ on a B732 WLG-AKL-WLG when I was a few months old, but I do remember NZ B742 AKL-NAN and B763 NAN-AKL. First impressions do last. Always an NZ flyer but this will all change shortly (EK and DJ) next month

Delta when I was 10. DFW-ATL. I wasn't as interested in aircraft then, but I think it was a 737-***. That's about all I know bsides the fact that I really enjoyed the power-up! However, it was not my first flight. My first flight was in a Cessna 172.

It was a redeye from SAN to DFW...the airport was brand new.

Mine was in '78 and was a multi-leg trip from Seoul, ROK to Chattanooga, Tennessee by way of HNL , LAX, ORD and ATL. Seoul to Chicago was aboard a Pan American jet while Chicago to Chattanooga was on Delta.

Mine was UA PHL-ORD-SEA. I was only 10 years old at the time (1992), so I don't know flight #. I do remember that the aircraft was a DC-10 (why I remember that, I do not know). I also remember that the flight out to SEA was extremely boring, but on the flight back (on another DC-10, then on a 737 from ORD-PHL), the flight was re-routed around a line of severe thunderstorms. I was able to see the lightning out the window and was absolutely awed. Got back to PHL 2 hours late due to the diversion. I thought it was pretty fun for a first flight and I still have those little plastic wings that the FA gave me....never too young to be an A.Nutter!  Big grin

I was 1 year old and flew an Aces Twin Otter from BOG to MZL (Manizales) to visit my family. A couple of years later, the route started being serviced by ATR-42s. Service on that route is now only AV Fokker 50s.

Dang I feel    in this thread . . .

First Airplane flight was an Alaska Coastal Ellis G21 Goose from Juneau Alaska to Skagway Alaska (JNU-SGY) in 1960.

Here's a Goose, no data on Alaska Coastal Ellis Airlines on A-Net. They were taken over completely by AS in 1967/68. Imagine seeing one of these or a Consolidated PBY Catalina in AS colors

Ha Ha . . . well, this was before there were State Ferries to our southeast Alaskan towns . . . only way to get there was by ship or plane. We took off on the water and landed on the wheels. As my Mother tells it she near crapped herself as we started our take off on the water north through the Gastineau Channel under the Juneau/Douglas Island bridge.

No, I don't remember it . . . but I do remember later flights and a flight in an AS owned Catalina in 1967. AS soon replaced the Geese and he Catalinas with Twin Otters . . .

Second flight was on a NW StratoCruiser . . . there's a picture somewhere on A-Net of one in SEA.

I cannot remember Northeast operating Tridents and on the NCL-LGW route. That route was the domain of Dan-Air.

My first flight was on a BEA Viscount, about 1962/3, between LHR and GIB. Cannot remember much, other than my sister mentioning we hit a "cloud" and all women passengers screamed, as I fell asleep for the whole journey.
