Flying CY

Mon Sep 26, 2005 1:07 am

Hey all... just finished booking next year's holidays...

We're flying Cyprus Airways LHR-LCA and return, both flights on A330s... anyone know what we can expect?

I know the planes are fairly new, and I think they have PTVs...

anyone got any CY experience?

Thanks!

Used to fly LHR-LCA all the time in the early 1990s on board their A310-200s and I used to call them Chicken Airways because they would always serve chicken! Flew them so much because I used to live in Nicosia, even got a ride on one of their BAC-1-11s.

Relatively lackluster service, fairly clean planes, PTVs on the 330s, proper engines underneath the wings, but haven't flown on them since 1995.

How about a trip report  Wink ?

By the way Larnaca Airport (unless it has changed recently) isn't the greatest...

True, I was there in August this year... I think they're expanding at the moment, but still no airbridges or anything...

Yes... a trip report will follow!
