Oh,

quite a lot to add. Especially from FRA as well.
Conviasa would be funnyand I still think this will never happen.
GRU with AM-Transportes Aereos Meridionais (Brazil)">JJ was there already and is unlikely to happen again.
IAH with CO is definetly correct and I am sure it would work as wellas AV to BOG. Not sure about AA to JFK and MIA. MIA is too low yield for US carrier.

But what about
FRA - MEX with AM
FRA - SJU with AA
FRA - FIH with EO
FRA - HRE

Also for me it would be nice to see:
LHR - PMV with VS
MAD - PMV with IB
MXP - PMV with Blue Panorama
ZRH - PMV with Edelweiss
MUC - PMV with DE
DUS - PMV with LT
CDG - PMV with Corsair
PRG - PMV with OK
SJU - PMV with Spirit
MIA - PMV with VH

and:
LHR - CCS with VS
ZRH - CCS with LX
CPH - CCS with SK
LAX - CCS with AA
ORD - CCS with UA
FLL - CCS with Spirit

these are only a few.

My homeairport nowadays is both GIG and GRU:

For GIG

GIG-LHR - High number os british corporates in Rio, also Rio is a desirable destination for tourists (Virgin)

GIG-EWR - A non stop service to New York, (Continental, because it can turn GIG-IAH also non stop)

GIG-AMS - With KLM

GIG-MUC - With LH (May be with the A340-600!)

Regards,
Felipe
New York + Rio de Janeiro = One of the best combinations !

sounds good, LH could reenter the GIG market this time with flights from MUC, but for beginning I think A340-300 would be enough.

Yes, GIG is getting back quite a lot of intercontinental traffic. This could be a good chance for LH. And, really, a 343 would be OK.

but this time LH should first let RG develop the new MUC-GRU flight. When the flight is in place and is doing ok, they could start the GIG flight, maybe January 2007?

Honestly, I think overall LH cares a sh** about theis alliance partners when it comes to open new routes. Just look at the new eastern european routes that LH opened recently from MUC. In most cases OS was the only european airline serving them. So they are competing directly with OS.
And if GIG is a chance I think they should go for it without looking at RG. They are an independent airline and responsible for their own earnings towards their shareholders.

Jetblue: JFK-AUS
American: DFW-AUS with something besides MD-80's! Also, MIA-AUS!
Kalitta: ANC-AUS or JFK-AUS
US Airways: from anywhere! They still don't fly into AUS (I guess HP does, so sort of...)

I have two home airports, HKG, and BOS

I wish they'll be linked up with a 777, but then, it's probably not that realistic. The only time this flight would be viable is when they ferry all the students back and forth from/to vacation, but that's when I need to fly too :p

My home airport is Ontario International Airport (ONT) in California. Realistic routes that can be added by the following airlines are:

WN: ONT-RNO, ONT-TUS, ONT-ABQ, ONT-MCI, ONT-MDW, ONT-AUS
B6: ONT-BOS, ONT-IAD
CO: ONT-EWR
DL: ONT-MCO
AA: ONT-ORD, ONT-STL
UA: ONT-ORD, ONT-IAD
AS: ONT-MEX, ONT-GDL
HA: ONT-HNL
AC: ONT-YVR, ONT-YYC
HP/US: ONT-PHL
NW: ONT-DTW

These are all realistic routes. In fact, the following have been flown at one time or another, but are not begin flown now:

ONT- RNO - Royal West, Reno Air
ONT- MCI - Eastern, Braniff II
ONT - TUS - Air Arizona (A small commuter that lasted a short while in the early 1990's)
ONT - ORD - American and United both flew this route before 9/11
ONT - HNL - Hawaiian tried it twice, but they always chared more than flying from LAX.
ONT - EWR - Continental flew it briefly before Gulf War I
ONT - STL - A long-time TWA route that AA dropped
ONT - AUS - Muse Air flew it briefly during their stay in ONT in 1984. They also briefly flew ONT-MAF, but I wouldn't recommend trying that route now!
ONT - Southern California's Ontario!

From MAN:

MAN-BKK on TG
MAN-AUH on EY
MAN-JED on SV
MAN-IAD on UA, would be much better than the crappy bmi 757!
MAN-LAX on AA/UA
MAN-NRT on NH 772.

Loads more but think i better keep it short or i could be hear all day long!

Other than that I think here in JAX (for our population) we're pretty well served.  Smile

BOG-YVR

Those are very far-fetched. sure, it would be nice, but very little pax from BOG to YVR to sustain a year-round, scheduled, widebody flight (the only way it could be flown nonstop) and both cities (YUL and YVR) can be reached easily through YYZ, MIA or ATL.

A couple of routes we do need are BOG-IAD with AV or UA and BOG-SDQ with AV (return!)

AC: ONT-YVR, ONT-YYC

I'm from the ONT area as well. These routes both seem kind of thin, don't they? Would Song operate the MCO route? AC tried ONT-YYZ in 2000, but it lasted about 3 months... However those routes you mentioned may work with a Jazz CRJ... Otherwise, my list for ONT is pretty much the same.

Here's my list for SAN (my other airport):

BA: LHR (this'll happen when the new airport is built or BA gets 787s, whichever comes first)
AC: YYZ (preferably on mainline, but an EMB-175 would be cool, too)
Aero California: Anywhere
MX: Anywhere (maybe CUN)
AA: MIA (was flown in the '90s, on 763s)
DL: 764 service to ATL
PR: MNL (if they get 787s)
NH: NRT (if they get 787s)

How much of these will actually happen? Who knows...
Scotty doesn't know...

From GRR:

GRR-DEN on UAx or F9x
GRR-BOS on anybody
GRR-MDW on WN (yeah, sure)
GRR-STL on AAx
GRR-ATL on FL (for LCC presence)

GRR has taken a few hits lately; no more service to the hubs at MDW (C8), PIT, or PHL (USx), and has only gained three non-hub (limited potential, yet badly needed) routes (LAS, DCA, LGA). Overall, it is a reduction in capacity in a growing metro area. Also, with the departure of C8, our fares have gone up significantly.

From MKG:

MKG-ORD on UAx or AAx
MKG-MSP on NWx

Yes. But that is not a decisive fact to have flights. Look at LAX, huge community, lost all flights after 2002. Maracaibo. Huge community. A daily Dash-8 to some secondary cities. Washington. No flights, big community. Chicago, same case, Rome, London, Tokyo...All of this communities are at least 3 times bigger then YUL´s or YVR´s. YYZ is another case, but we already have flights there.

we talked about new realistic route wishes... and YVR and YUL have a decend colombian community so a flight could be possible in future... no more no less.

believe they stopped serving MIA in 2004. AMS-MIA is now being operated by Martinair.

Yes they stoped it when KLM mergered with AF. Martinair always servered MIA also but I think it is something like 10 times a week MIA-AMS and also they fly MIA-SJO.

From TRI I'd like to see somewhere in New York City... especially JFK.

ORD would be nice.

PHL-DAL: WN (W/S A needs to be repealed)

PHL-PDX: US or WN (this non-stop route has been in the talking stages for years, but has yet come to fruition)

PHL-ORH: FL or WN (this airport's much closer to my brother's place than BDL or PVD). USx's fares, when they last offered the service, were too high.
