CX definately. I've heard that Y pitch on VS
is really tight. That, and CX
have 2 night flights to SYD
... one leaves at about 1900 (as do VS
) and the other (CX) after 2300. This last flight is always my choice. The first flight leaves too early IMO. It is only an 8.5 hr flight, so unless you can sleep easily at any time of the day or night, it could be at least 4-5 hrs before you are tired enough at your "normal" bed time, to be able to fall asleep. Then you only have another 1-2 hrs max., before the crew serves breakfast an hour and a half before landing in SYD
My routine on the CX101 which leaves close to midnight, is to prepare my blanket, slippers and earplugs (coutesy of previous JL
Biz Class flts.) and eye-mask straight after the seatbelt sign is turned off, thereby isolating myself off from the rest of the plane. In my experience, if they see that you're sleeping (or at least pretending to sleep...), the CX
crews won't disturb you with the dinner they want to serve at around 0030 local time. With luck, I then sleep for about 5-6 hours straight. Nice. Have a good trip.
