I have made the choice NOTto go to Vegas for my birthday next march! I will go in january or february! So after talking to an AAgent at work today, I have decided to go to London, England! Ive never flown internationally at all nor have I been on a plane that long either! I was told where to get a passport, if I remember.
What's decided is the route im flying. Im flying AA ORD-LHR-ORD. Scheduled to be the first week in March. Ill be there about 3-4 days. I really dont plan on taking checked lugagge just a carry on.
I just have some questions that i hope seasoned international travellers can answer.
*how far is Heathrow from the actual city?
*are the hotels very expensive in terms of London's own standards?
*should I stay near the airport or closer to the city(if they are far apart)
*should I convert my money to pounds or just use my debit card?
*how much money should I convert if I went that route?
*lastly, AA has flights in the mornin, evening, and later at night. which time of day would be best to fly out?
Thanks for any advice anyone has to offer! I cant wait for this trip already
