I think there are only 2 places. The park by InnOut or the el segundo park by imperial high way. Both bad places to spot in my opinion. LAX is just not a spotter friendly airport.

This is quite frequently dicussed on A.net.
See search http://www.airliners.net/discussions...Lax+Spot&search_order=id&starter=1 for a number of threads.

(as always it comes down to selecting the correct words for those searches for threads on A.net ...)

IN-N-OUT at the approach end of 24R is great.....otherwise, just jack up the vehicle on the shoulder of the Harbor FWY and watch!  Smile

Its one of the best spotter airports, you have In-N-Out, Imperial Hill, and for sunste arrivals, the bridge off of I believe Westchester Avenue.

Definitely the In-N-Out Burger parking lot. Get yourself a four by four "animal style" and enjoy the heavies coming in from overseas.

Lot C ain't bad either. Just park there and spot em coming overhead. You'll only get traffic from the northern runways though.

And remember...the beauty of In-N-Out Burger is that most of "the menu" isn't on the menu. Google their secret menu or check out some of the hidden options on their page. Happy spotting.

DeltaGator, thanks for the directions etc, I take it you can only really
view the two North Runways at LAX? Can the departures off the Northside be seen or just the arriving airplanes?
Either way will check it out next year.

thanks

Wow, if LAX is one the best, I can only imagine what the other airports must be like.

You can see the departures and arrivals.
