Prefered Aviation Book?

Fri Nov 11, 2005 1:01 am

I'm looking for a good aviation book. I want a book with the max types of a/c and detailed descriptions for all of them (history, specs, etc). I love to read the story/background of a civil aircraft and I was searching on Amazon and I was wondering : In your opinion, what is the best aviation book around ?

Thanks for your opinions !

A few of my favorites are:

Aircraft of the World by Claudio Muller
McDonnell Douglas Jetliners by Robbie Shaw
The World's Commercial and Private Aircraft by Crescent Books

I believe Aircraft of the World is the only one still in print. I hope this helps some.
