Fri Nov 25, 2005 7:23 pm

I may go to Madrid, Spain in January and I was wondering which airline is better: Air Europa or Iberia

I've flown IB both domestically and international, and UX on domestic flights. Since you are not detailling the route you are travelling on, I assume, you are going on a short European flight.

On such a route, it makes really no big difference, whether you are taking IB or UX, I'd go for the offer, which suits you best according to schedule and price.

As TriStar500 said, there is basically no difference between these two airlines. Just take the cheapest fare or best scheduled flights.

Another criteria : if you're a FlyingBlue member, you can get miles with UX, which code-shares with AF on this route...

Air Europa tends to be cheaper when flying from ORY-MAD and if you get one of their newer aircraft you will have their new leather seats.

I have flown both Air Europa and Iberia domestically and internationally and can say that Iberia has a better international product in my opinion but domestically wise they are kind of the same.

Another choice is always Easy Jet from ORY which tends to be always the cheapest, I purchased a ticket last March for 7 Euros both ways!

I would take UX any day over IB (if there's an option).
Twinjets...if one fails, work the other one twice as hard!!!
