You can add me to the list of fans for this a/c. Also gotta love the take-offs on board the little brother, the 737NG. Pretty rocking if you ask me.

Actually, I was on a A330 recently, and the climbout was not bad either, much more powerful than I expected. Their bigger brother the A340 is anemic though

As you'll find mentioned counless times in A.net discussions, one of the key design elements of the 757 was that it had to have very good hot & high take off performance. The ability to get up easily in thin air means in a more typical atmosphere you get the amazing results we all admire.

I posted a thread over the summer about how the take off roll of the 757 is shorter than aircraft smaller than the 57. I am a big fan of the airplane regardless, but the take off roll is impressive. I sat in the Seattle airport watching planes come and go, I continually watched 757s take off faster than 737s and widebodies. Impressive....its a rocketsled.

I remember a few years ago I took a Delta 757 to Atlanta from Albuquerque. We taxied onto the runway and took right off I kind of got thrown back into my seat a little bit. It was pretty impressive. I would take this aircraft again but they stopped bringing them to Albuquerque.

The 757 is ok, though i have not experienced the power some many people talk about it. I am going on next monday i will pay attention. THe B737NG gave me very long rolls and very high speeds.

My rocket takeoffs have always been in the MD83.
