When are you coming this direction? I'll be glad to provide necessary info on what to avoid and what not to miss . . . provided you've not another inside connection here. If I'm in town I'll be more than happy to help . . . any A-Netter visiting ANC
As for the flight . . . BOB in Y (advice: Buy something at ORD and carry it aboard!!!) and a decent meal for domestic F. You have Channel 9 available of course - ATC. And there will be IFE. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and you'll get a great view of Alberta, the Yukon and Alaska as you come in. With the right approach - sitting on the right side of the aircraft - you'll get an excellent view of the entire Anchorage area while on approach. Likely arrival will be on 7R . . . unless the wind is doing something strange. ANC
has a tendency to use 7R for arrivals and 32 for departures. (I know, I know - no way to predict it - just experience talking here).
You'll arrive at Gate B9 or B11 in Anchorage - Terminal B (I guess you could tell that by the gate #), down the escalators just past Security turning right at the bottom for baggage claim. Your baggage will come in on the first belt you come to.
If you'd like some more info let me know . . . contact me via my A-Net Contact.
