Is 10K Miles Worth It To You?

Thu Jan 26, 2006 2:09 am

So I decided to use 10K miles to upgrade to Biz on UA a few weeks ago. The flight was only NRT-ICN, but it was late, and I felt I could use the space to get a little sleep. My "question" here to you is, if you had the miles to burn, would it be worth it to you?...it was to me.
Ok, wait for the RJ to pass, cleared to push tail south Mike, and you're cleared to spin #2 in the push.

Of course... I am using 45,000 miles on Qantas to upgrade to First in a few weeks time (cross fingers it's accepted!). I've never flown first and it's a 14.5 hour flight, so as far as I'm concerned, it's well worth it. For comparison, less miles will get the same sector in Economy class without paying.

Trent.
I do quite enjoy a spot of flying - more so when it's not in Economy!

Good luck on the upgrade, I just got my first taste of International First on AA a month ago. NRT-ORD, AA T7. I flew standby and got lucky it was a pretty full flight, but only 7 First class pax including myself up front. It was awesome, especially for an 11 hour flight.

Flight time was just over 2 hours NRT-ICN.
